Snowy Owls on Plum Island

Snowy owls love to winter on pretty Plum Island in Mass. Spied my first one this season on Christmas day and have seen almost one daily since then. Hint: The stunning white owls love to hang out on the roof of the abandoned pink house across from Bob’s Lobster, and in the dunes of the Parker River Wildlife Refuge on Plum.

Hope you are fortunate enough to see one of these beauties this winter season.

Snowy Owls Are Back on Plum Island

It’s so cold on Plum Island already that the snowy owls have arrived! Last year the Parker River Wildlife Refuge, which makes its home on Plum Island, was a popular spot for the snowy owl beauties and quite the attraction for visitors and locals. I haven’t seen one yet, but will keep my eye out. This is a shot I took of pretty Plum Island.
